About

Growing up in Washington State, I spent more time outdoors then in. I hated school but had a good time taking part in the clubs; band (trumpet, baritone, french horn), the biking club, hiking club and backpacking clubs. I lost interest in band during high school and never went back, but the outdoor activities stuck with me. I hike as often as possible, backpack occasionally but want to do it much more. My hiking buddy & I started hiking the Pacific Crest and Tahoe Rim Trails and we plan to get many more miles under our belt.
In my journal entries you will find many entries about hikes and backpacking trips, but tucked away you may find my view points on politics ie. the destruction of our country and our founding documents; The Constitution & Bill of Rights. Also hidden away may be tidbits about happenings in my life, relationships and desires.
Maybe we can share view points, learn a little from one another, have a few laughs, then again, maybe not. We'll see what happens....or doesn't happen.

Making weekend plans…

Pacific Crest Trail day-hikes

Trying to decide which Pacific Crest Trail hike to go on this weekend: the top map is just outside the Mokelumne Wilderness Area from Blue Lakes Road to The Nipple.  We backpacked a few weeks ago from Carson Pass down to Sierra City Canyon and east to Lost Lakes leaving a 5 or so mile section of the PCT south to Blue Lakes Road.

The bottom map goes into the Desolation Wilderness Area west of Lake Tahoe from DL Bliss State Park and loops back via Miller Creek Road.  This would connect with a section we did earlier this summer from Barker Pass south to Miller Road then west to Long Lake.

Both are long drives to the trailhead but both beautiful areas that we would like to do this season.

Choices, choices…
